Will Airsoft Players Answer the Call of Duty?

November is here, and that means it's time for the latest edition of Activision's Call of Duty (CoD) series. As airsoft aficionados, we love to flop down at home and get some digital military shooter action going when we're not out there on our own battlefield. Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) launched on November 8 and the world's largest third party publisher of video games is pulled out all the stops in the newest entry in its ridiculously successful military shooter series.

With MW3 hype at a fervor now that's it out, we figured it was a good time to take a break from the airsoft talk that dominates our blog and shift gears a bit. We're thinking none of you will mind considering how popular our CoD giveaway was a little while back. Those of you who aren't gamers need not worry, though: our regular airsoft talk will be back in our next blog.

There's a brand new leveling system that emphasizes more than just your kill/death ratio and allows players of all styles to rank up and unlock new weapon attachments and more in the multiplayer. The single player mode is focused on the pursuit of series antagonist, Vladimir Malakov. The Russian Federation is on the offensive again and players will have to take control of several different characters in order to save the U.S. and Europe.

Activision called it the most anticipated release in video game history, but a formidable challenger has appeared this year. Battlefield 3 (BF3) dropped back on October 25, and gamers and the press have been heaping on the praise. Many are underwhelmed by its single player, but the multiplayer in BF3 is phenomenal.

Will you guys be answering the call again this year, or has Electronic Arts' BF3 swayed you? Let us know by shooting a comment our way. Before you answer, though, check out this hysterical new live action trailer for MW3, the n00b and the vet. And don't forget to take a peek at our other blog posts detailing the events we have coming up.
